About Forma

Hello, I’m Sophie.

I’m a yoga teacher based in the North Cotswolds, and I help people feel stronger, calmer and more confident in their bodies through yoga and strength training.

Forma grew out of something I kept noticing in the people around me — particularly women living full, busy lives. Work, family and responsibilities often mean that our own wellbeing gets pushed aside. We keep going, but our bodies start sending small signals: niggles, stiffness, lower energy, or simply the sense that we don’t feel as strong or comfortable as we once did.

At the same time, many of us begin to think more seriously about the years ahead. As we watch people around us grow older, it becomes clear how important strength, mobility and a healthy mind are in shaping the kind of life we’re able to live.

But knowing that doesn’t always make it easy to begin.

Over the years I’ve seen how intimidating traditional gyms can feel for many people — environments where you’re expected to figure everything out yourself and hope your form is correct. For many women, it’s simply difficult to know what kind of movement will actually help their body.

Forma was created as an alternative to that.

Supportive yoga class building strength, mobility and confidence.

How I work

Through a combination of yoga and thoughtful strength training, I offer supportive, personalised guidance to help people reconnect with their bodies and build strength, mobility and confidence in a way that feels positive and sustainable.

Yoga brings balance, mobility and space in the body. Strength training builds resilience, helping us move through life with more strength, energy and ease. Together, they create something incredibly powerful.

What I love most about this work is the people. I care deeply about the individuals I work with, and I take time to understand what each person needs from movement and how I can best support them.

People often describe my classes as warm, encouraging and supportive — and creating that environment is incredibly important to me.

My approach is informed by science and careful teaching, but it’s also deeply human.

Because movement is never just about exercise.

It’s about reconnecting with your body, rebuilding strength and confidence, and creating the foundations for a healthy, vibrant life.

That’s the heart of Forma.
